About the Role:

Aquila Technology is seeking a Configuration Management Database (CMDB) Specialist to join our team in supporting one of the country’s premier defense research organizations. The team is looking for a Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and service monitoring specialist to support the CMDB including inventory, service mapping, and service observability through the SolarWinds platform. The ideal candidate will ensure that all IT assets, configurations, and service dependencies are accurately tracked and up-to-date, maintaining a comprehensive inventory in the CMDB that supports better decision-making and faster incident resolution. This individual will be responsible for administration of the CMDB, responding to users questions and updating documentation. The ideal candidate will work with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with industry standards, and maintain an accurate inventory of assets. Experience with ITIL processes, administration of ServiceNow CMDB, and first-hand experience in service monitoring / observability solutions like SolarWinds will be key. It is critical that this position be able to talk to system administrators and CMDB users, and be able to use appropriate terminology between the two.

There are a few requirements for the position:

• Must be a U.S Citizen - Must be able to obtain and Active Secret Clearance (Green Cards / Visas do not qualify)
• Willingness to undergo a comprehensive background investigation and maintain a personal security clearance and obtain an SCI. (Aquila would sponsor you for the security clearance.) Active Secret is highly preferred
• Remote - must be willing to travel to MA

Nice to Have

• Degree Level:Bachelor's Degree
• Application and infrastructure monitoring (system performance, identifying issues, troubleshooting)
• Currently holds a Secret Clearance (OR a higher clearance)

Work from Home: This position is REMOTE . The candidate is able to work remotely from any location. They may be asked to take up to 4 trips per calendar year to Lexington if the program/project requires it. Candidates MUST be able to work an EST schedule in order to be considered for this role.

Interview Process: 1st round interview will be a Zoom with the hiring manager. The 2nd round interview will be a Zoom with additional team members as needed. Potential for a 3rd final round interview.
