Job Description

Chief Executive Officer

We are looking for a visionary Chief Executive Officer to lead the St. Joseph Community Health Foundation, a mission-driven organization serving Allen County. Are you a practicing Roman Catholic with financial acumen who wants to use your expertise to serve the most vulnerable in our community?

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee Foundation ensuring socially responsible investing aligned with Catholic values. You'll develop investment strategies, manage budgets, and drive the business side of the foundation's impactful work.
  • Lead initiatives focused on refugees and immigrants, prenatal and infant care, food and nutrition security, and accessible healthcare for those who need it most.
  • Work alongside a dedicated team and engaged Board of Directors, complementing existing program expertise with your financial acumen.

Essential Qualifications:

  • 5-7+ years of progressive leadership experience in nonprofit, philanthropy, or related sectors
  • Strong financial expertise including investment management, budgeting, and financial planning
  • Experience overseeing operations in a mission driven organization
  • Experience with nonprofit governance and fundraising
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred (MBA, MPA, or relevant field)
  • Active participation in the Catholic faith and a heart for the marginalized

Preferred Background:

  • Familiarity with Allen County's nonprofit Human Services landscape
  • Experience with grant awards and management
  • Experience managing relationships with diverse stakeholders
  • Strong communication skills and managing the public visibility of the organization
  • Fundraising experience with major gifts and grants
  • Strong financial and budgeting or investment experience
