Pay: $30–$35/hour

Location: Remote (Zoom-based)

Schedule: Mondays–Thursdays, 3:30 PM–9:00 PM CST

Max Students Per Session: 15

About the Role:
SiSTEM is hiring talented and patient math tutors to lead live, drop-in Homework Labs for middle school students in grades 6–8. In these sessions, you’ll help students navigate their homework, reinforce classroom instruction, and build math confidence in a warm, small-group environment.

Each lab is designed to be supportive and engaging where students come with questions, and you guide them to clarity while encouraging active participation and collaborative learning.

Sample Topics You’ll Support:

• Fractions, decimals, percentages, and ratios.
• Expressions, equations, and proportions.
• Geometry basics and measurement.
• Real-world math problems and visual representations.

You’re a Strong Fit If You:

• Have experience teaching or tutoring math for grades 6–8.
• Can confidently support a group of up to 15 students in a virtual setting.
• Are patient, enthusiastic, and skilled at breaking down concepts clearly.
• Understand middle school math standards and curriculum pacing.
• Enjoy working with diverse learners and helping them grow.

Ideal Candidates May Include:

• Certified middle school math teachers.
• College students or recent grads with strong math skills and prior tutoring experience.
• Former educators or education majors looking for flexible online work.
