This position is located at the DMV Headquarters in Sacramento.

Under the general supervision of the Office Services Supervisor II, the Office Technician (Typing) provides a variety of support services to the Records and Reception Unit.  The duties and responsibilities include maintaining, tracking, and organizing sensitive employee information and provides general administrative clerical support for the Human Resources Branch (HRB). The incumbent will greet visitors at the public counter, answer telephone calls, schedule appointments for Livescan, and review Official Personnel Folders.

Working Conditions

Part-time telework available. Telework requires California residency. This position offers hybrid telework opportunities; however, telework arrangements are subject to change at any time based on State & departmental operational needs. Employees may be required to report to the office as necessary.

  • The position(s) require(s) the ability to type at a minimum speed as designated on the Class Specifications (link available in the additional documentation section). You must obtain a valid typing certificate confirming your ability to meet the minimum typing speed, prior to being hired.
