Job Description

3rd Shift Maintenance Mechanic to support operations at the Millville Quarry in Millville, WV. This position will be responsible for installing and assembling new machines and equipment. Maintaining a preventative maintenance schedule for inspecting, servicing, and testing machinery. This position hours are typically between 10:00pm-7:00am. Hours may vary depending on the needs of the business.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

• Diagnosing and repairing machine failures.
• Performs preventive maintenance inspections and service on machines throughout the plant.
• Thoroughly cleans machines and machine parts, removing parts and reinstalling as necessary.
• Oils and lubricates moving parts on machines to ensure effective performance.
• Records and reports damaged, worn, or broken parts.
• Installing replacement parts.
• Schedule repairs for faulty equipment or damaged structures.
• Perform general maintenance of the plant and grounds.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

Education: 

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Required Work Experience: 

• 3 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified in a plant or industrial environment.
• Considerable knowledge of the practices, tools, materials, equipment, methods and techniques of the electrical/mechanics trade.
• Knowledge of the applicable occupational hazards and safety precautions.
• Knowledge of electrical/mechanical theory.
• Skill in the use of tools and equipment.
• Ability to locate and correct defects in electrical and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematic drawings.
• Excellent oral communication skills with close attention to detail.
• Required Computer and Software Skills: Basic computer skills.
• Analytical thinking skills.
• Ability to work in inclement weather and fluctuating temperatures, climbing ladders, scaffolding, and descending underground, as well as exposure to the hazards of working in confined spaces with high voltage electricity.
• Ability to lift 50lbs.
• Reliable transportation.
• Licenses Required: N/A.
• Strong safety orientation.
• Must be able to work second shift hours as directed by supervisor, typical start time between 10:00pm-7:00am.
• Ability to work Monday through Friday, and occasional Saturdays.
