Job Description

We are currently seeking a full-time Senior Civil CAD Designer. The position will assist in all phases of site development/civil engineering, including grading, stormwater, and utility design. The successful candidate must have strong capabilities in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Excel. Our designers are involved in several projects at one time involving numerous team members, exceptional communication skills and the ability to work well with others is essential. 

Requirements:

• Performs Computer Aided Drafting by use of AutoCAD and Civil 3D software.
• Develops designs and drawings from preliminary concepts, sketches, specification sheets, engineering directives, and other data, according to client specifications or needs.
• Submits documentation packages and produce drawing sets and standard operating procedures.
• Assures the maintenance of drawing files for active projects.
• Responsible for staying current with the latest developments in CAD.
• Handles multiple concurrent projects.
• Ability to work as part of a team.

Qualifications:

• Education : Two-year associate degree or technical school degree or greater.
• Experience : 7 years in civil-related drafting using AutoCAD Civil 3D, including alignments, profiles, surfaces, assemblies, corridors, and earthwork quantity calculations.
• Skills : Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Sketch-Up, and other related software; strong written and oral communication skills.
• Attributes : Ability to work independently, self-motivated, willing to learn, and committed to being an active participant in an employee-owned culture.
