Do you possess prior finance or accounting experience or have a strong interest in pursuing a career in this space? This design firm is seeking an Accounting and Finance Assistant to join their lively and professional team on a part-time basis, with up to 30 hours a week. In this position, you will coordinate and assist with managing a variety of financial moving parts, from accounts payable/receivable to billing, invoicing, wire transfers, and reporting. This role is ideal for someone with excellent interpersonal skills, sharp Excel knowledge, and a genuine interest in this field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform data entry and bookkeeping functions.
- Manage Accounts Payable and Receivable duties.
- Initiate, track, and monitor the transfer of electronic funds and reconcile discrepancies in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist with administrative tasks, recordkeeping, and internal communication.
- Conduct data entry to ensure accurate tracking of details.
- Update monthly financial statements for review.
- Compile financial data and create and update reports using Excel and QuickBooks Online.
- Support the team with accounting and general administrative functions as needed.

What We’re Looking For:
- Mathematically-minded. At least one year of finance, accounting, or bookkeeping experience is required.
- Academic. Associate or Bachelor’s degree is preferred, with a focus on business, economics, or finance.
- Detail-oriented. A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail is essential for this role.
- Adaptable. You are eager to learn from others, but you are resourceful when solving problems.
- Scrupulous. You have a natural ability for noting inconsistencies or pinpointing errors in documents, especially with numbers.
- Service oriented. You are a team-player with an authentic delivery and work well in fast-paced environments.
